Into the Unknown

What happens when we step outside our familiar patterns, our habitual ways of moving, relating, and responding? In life as well as in dance, we tend to keep repeating known movements, known rhythms, and known relational dynamics. While these patterns offer a sense of safety, they can also limit spontaneity, creativity, and authentic connection. This workshop explores what it means to move beyond these habitual “scripts” and step into the unknown.

In Listening We Touch

A Contact Improvisation weekend workshop exploring how attention transforms movement, technique, and connection.

“Tension masks sensation.” This simple insight reminds us that the more we become occupied with doing, controlling, or achieving a particular outcome, the less we are able to perceive what is already present.

Heart-Mind Retreat

A week of practice, exploration & community in the Himalayas

What happens when we create a space where we can step away from our usual habits and dedicate a whole week to exploring how we can live more consciously?

The Heart–Mind Retreat is an invitation to do exactly that.
For seven days, we will come together in the mountains of Dharamshala, India, to practise, inquire, share, and learn from one another.

If something in this speaks to you, we would love to have you with us.

SPANDA

Contact Improvisation Intensive
16-19 October 2026
Dharamsala, India

This immersive program will be a deep dive into the foundations, principles, and mechanics of Contact Improvisation, while also exploring how these practices can deepen our awareness, compassion, and relationship with one another and with nature.
Through movement, meditation, listening, and attention we will investigate how dance can become a form of inquiry — a way of exploring the unknown and moving with trust in the face of uncertainty.
